Five down, and possibly just two more to go! All the photos are in place and only the written words remain. As I sat with the book designer, Margarita Hernandez, watching her place the last photo, it hit me. I felt amazed and thankful. Getting this project into book form was something I tossed around in my head when I saw the project taking shape. It felt like wishful thinking at the time...but I guess that's what dreams are made of !
Escaramuzas is the first photography book dedicated exclusively to Mexico's female horse riders, by Leslie Mazoch. The texts are in both English and Spanish.
